Data shows that a more diverse workforce results in better business outcomes, and a focus on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) attracts top talent, and leads to employees feeling valued and respected.
The insurance industry consistently falls behind in DEIB studies. This creates a variety of challenges, especially given the looming talent shortage. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics forecasts that over the next 15 years, 50% of the current insurance workforce will retire, leaving more than 400,000 open positions unfilled.
The Omnia team is working with its clients and industry leaders to inspire change.
The outcome
> Co-founded ALLInTent, a group dedicated to connecting the insurance industry’s diversity, equality, inclusion and belonging initiatives in order to share learnings and create greater impact and change than ever before. ALLInTent’s mission is to act as a central hub of resources, event information and ideas, and to serve as a place to communicate and foster DEIB collaboration in the industry.
> Co-lead the communications committee for the Million Women Mentor’s Women in Insurance Consortium to increase DEIB in the insurance industry and promote insurance as a desirable, stimulating and opportunity-rich industry for women in STEM.
> Worked with our client to help launch a groundbreaking gender in the workplace study and raised the awareness of a Congressional study focused on diversity and inclusion at America’s largest insurance companies.
> Helped launch DiveIn Israel and, in its third year, organized a DiveIn panel event at Insurtech Connect for industry leaders to discuss data bias in insurance.
“The Omnia Paratus team are change makers. They beautifully curate and orchestrate, and are able to lead, inspire and nurture teams to do the work we need to create a more diverse, equitable and inclusive insurance industry.”
