ACORD, the standards-setting body for the insurance industry, has enabled the flow of data and information across the insurance industry for more than 50 years.
In 2018, with new leadership in place, and a newly launched subsidiary to bring technology solutions to market, ACORD engaged our team in the US and UK to serve as their PR and media relations agency. At the time, there were many new players in the insurance technology space, creating a great deal of confusion in the market. We immediately saw that ACORD was in a position to bring clarity and context to the conversation.
ACORD had all the pieces in place for a successful communications campaign, but needed help organizing and actioning their assets. The Omnia team created the structure they needed for success, transforming ACORD’s media relations processes and plans, and spotlighting relevant thought leadership. With these building blocks in place, we then fostered relationships with insurance journalists and industry influencers on ACORD’s behalf and developed a more consistent flow of news and thought leadership commentary, nearly doubling the organization’s media mentions year over year.
Today, the Omnia team serves as an extension of ACORD’s global communications team. Together, we have established the organization as a leading voice on the future of insurance, especially as it relates to the industry’s digital maturity and the need to achieve global interoperability.
